Geographical location

We are very proud of our lovely villages in the unspoiled Aspe valley.

Sarrance

This is our closest village with its typical Béarnaise houses is dominated by the church and monastery «Notre Dame de Sarrance». If you visit the Eco-Musee you can find out more about the miracle of Sarrance. A miniature Lourdes in its own right!

It is especially lovely to walk from the Fountains Of Escot into the village along the St James path.

Escot

By car, from our village of Escot, you can, within minutes, be up and over the «Col de Marie Blanque» and into the equally splendid Valle d’Ossau. The Col de Marie Blanque is one of the most famous climbs in the Tour de France. This stage of the tour starts from the village of Escot. Here you can also visit the Escot viaduct a masterpiece of railway masonery.

Other Villages

The views from other villages in the valley like Lurdious, Osse en Aspe, Aydius and Lescun are simply amazing. Most of these villages have summer festivals where you can experience the richness of the Béarnaise culture

So whether you want to sunbathe on the beach, read by the river, picnic in the mountains or drive into Spain. The Fountains Of Escot is a versatile location that offers something for everyone.
