Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply for any booking at Fontaines d’Escot. Please read this page carefully.


Making a booking

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total cost is required to confirm a booking.

Balance payment

The balance is payable in full on your scheduled day of departure by French cheque or by cash (in euros). Direct bank to bank transfer can be done prior to arrival.

Arrival and departure times

The gîtes and the B&B suites will be available from 5pm on the day of arrival until 11am on the day of departure. If you would like to arrive earlier please contact us. Please let us know if you are likely to arrive after 10pm so that we can make sure someone is available to check you in.

Modification of a booking

Any modification made to a booking (lenght of stay, number of participants, number of bedrooms...) will result in us giving you a new quote; prices may vary from the original quote.


Discounts for fishing, paragliding, cycling and motorbiking can only be validated if booked through our website with 30% deposit paid on PayPal.

We reserve the right to ask you to provide supporting documents to confirm discounts (for example proving that your child is under 10...)


All children (a person under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times. Cots are available but these are limited and subject to availability.


The owner shall not be liable for accident or injury, however sustained on the premises or gardens by the guests or by members of their party and the owner shall not be liable for loss or damage to guest’s property during the stay.

Damage and Breakages

Please take care of our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.


We strongly recommend that guests arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover). This should include full cover for the partys personal belongings, public liability etc, since these are not covered by the owners insurance.


Pets are allowed in the B&B Suites, in the gîtes, in the reception rooms and in the garden but it is your responsibility to clean up after your pet. Please keep your pet on a lead at all times.

Guest behavior

Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and respect our property, our employees and other guests. Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of our property, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff. We reserve the right to refuse accomodation or services or remove you and members of your party from our property if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached.


We ask guests to report any defects or issues with the property, furnishings or appliances in the properties or garden without delay. Arrangements for repair and or replacements will be made as soon as possible.

Cancellation by us

Should we need to cancel your holiday booking due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control or force majeure, you will receive a full refund of the monies paid to date, no compensation will be paid.

B&B Suites

If a booking is taken out for a specific B&B Suite and the B&B Suite reserved is rendered unusable via circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative room.


Guests agree to be considerate of others and to take good care of the property, to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of their stay.

We ask that appliances are turned off when not in use and that lights are turned off when the property is unattended. Windows should also be shut when away.

We shall be allowed access to inspect the property prior to your departure.
