The château

All B&B and self-catering guests are completely independent in their lodgings, but can take advantage of the freely available outdoor facilities offered by the chateau.

• Private river front with 900m of natural sand and stone beaches with lagoons perfect to cool off on those hot Summer days and river activities.
• Large children’s swimming pool. We have installed this while our olympic size swimming pool is under repair.

  Note: There is a water park and local indoor and outdoor swimming pool complex 15 minutes drive away in Lanne and our local town of Oloron Sainte-Marie. See the «Swimming» page.

• Sun beds, parasols, awnings, mats, hammock, tables and garden chairs (in large quantities). See the «Sun & beaches» page.
• At the back of the garden there is a stone mushroom seat circle with good shade for afternoon teas. There are also two enormous spanish BBQs with a granite table.
• Several large terraces next to the building and one next to the river for BBQs and outdoor eating.

• Fronton (the Basque version of squash) rackets and balls available. Lawn games including cricket set, badminton, skittles, boules, football, bats and balls.
• There is a gazebo in the garden with toilets and washing facilities which is very convenient for all clients. Even fishermen use this to get changed and clean their equipment.
• Large private parking space to accommodate dozens of cars and several coaches. Campers and motorhomes are welcome too.
• Courtyard in front of the building with tables and chairs ideal for outdoor morning breakfast.
• Easy access to the river. The private road continues to the river and bridge. We have large gates here from which a path leads directly to the river beach. In fact we have had several disabled fishermen and visitors that have taken advantage of this unusual facility. See the «Property plan».

• We have thermal and mineral waters that can be collected for your own use.
• Organised walks and guided visit to the historical thermal spa and Roman wells.
• Walking sticks available.
