Reception rooms

1) Courtyard

As you approach the property there is a private entrance and road leading to a large parking area and courtyard. This is located at the front of the château where you find the main entrance doors. There is one door going to the grand salon. There is another door entering the dining room and a set of stone stairs that give direct access to the self-catering accommodation on the 1st floor. Here there are some wrought iron garden tables, chairs and umbrellas where you can enjoy the morning sun. To the left of the courtyard is a gate and ancient path leading down to the historical SPA which is next to the river.

2) Grand Salon (36 m²)

Once the hotel reception, this room still maintains its original French charm with textile covered walls. There is a typical Béarnaise open fireplace and comfortable sofas. You could easily seat 16 people here. Logs are stacked ready for cosy evenings in front of the fire. There is a satellite television/DVD with French and English channels and also a tourist information bookshelf with maps, books and local activity brochures. From here there are doors leading to the dining room and a staircase.

3) Dining Room (108 m²)

This used to be a famous restaurant, today this vast space is used as the B&B dining room where breakfast and dinners are served. When rented for special occasions this area can comfortably seat up to 60 people.

At one end there is a lounge/coffee area with a wood burning fire. The whole ceiling has been renovated to display the original oak beams. You can enter this room through the main doors from the front courtyard. There are other exits going out on to the East terrace and back garden. There are french doors to the adjacent dance floor and other doors to the grand salon and kitchen.

4) Professional Kitchen (42 m²)

This is conveniently adjoined to the dining room with two serving hatches. This kitchen is fully equipped with professional stainless steel cooker, oven, plate warmer, work tops: dishwasher, double sinks etc. Other equipment includes microwave, fridge, freezer, two washing machines and a tumble dryer. Adjacent there is a small room with all pots and cooking utensils.

5) West Terrace

This is just outside the dining room and kitchen providing an ideal and convenient outdoor BBQ eating area. On this terrace there are several outdoor tables, chairs and awning to accomodate up to 40 people. This is a sunny terrace perfect for serving evening apertifs.

6) Dancing & Seminar Room (138 m²)

When not rented for special occasion this is a family and children’s indoor playing area. and it is greatly appreciated by families on those occasional rainy days. This is the largest room in the building which has normally been used as dancing area between the dining room and the bar.

Today it is a multipurpose room that can easily be arranged as a seminar, class, convention room or even as a seating extension to the dining room seating an additional 60 people.

There is a very efficient wood burning fireplace that adds a touch of relaxing atmosphere. Ladies and gents toilets are conveniently located in one corner. There are three sets of french doors: one leading to the grand bar, another to the dining room and a third to the outside parking area.

7) Grand Bar (72 m²)

A professionally equipped bar that has a rustic atmosphere: Exposed stone walls, stone floor and very high beamed ceiling. French doors leading to the dancing room and also out to south terrace. This room can also be rented for special occasions.

8) WCs

There are 5 WCs on the ground floor: 2 in the dancing room, 1 next to the kitchen (a small room in between) and 2 outside in the south terrace area.
